Michael Bell award - Lifetime Membership
Carolyn has contributed much to our Club. She has been on the committee, serving as a competent Secretary and then as President. She has outstanding organization skills which she puts to good use in a calm and logical way. Her time as President included the very trying and unique Covid Lockdown period where she had to deal with ever changing Covid rules. She navigated her way through those tricky waters, making many decisions that kept things going, maintaining a unified club over two venues and led LUKES back into a reinvented ‘normal’. Her nomination highlights her creativity, IT skills and positive energy, which she has in spades. She has participated in all aspects of LUKES. She has run theme nights, organized and / or ran workshops, run beginner classes, TAB classes and has been a Team Leader many times for LEGS performances. In fact, she could be seen as a Ukulele Ambassador – also running Ukulele classes at the Kingston U3A, many of her students opting to join LUKES. She is a doer- she gets things done, in a measured, planned way. She is genuinely interested in others and has a sociable, friendly manner with everyone. She has the best interests of the Longbeach Club in mind and action all the time.

Longbeach Ukes presented Michale Bell with a Certificate of Lifetime Membership by the membership of 'LUKES" in sincere gratitude for his leadership, enthusiasm and commitment to our Club as President, since its inception in 2011.
